SUMBA ISLAND
Sumba is an island which is currently unknown but the Island has so much beauty to offer. You can find the island in the eastern part of Indonesia and is a part of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Sumba has an area about twice the size of Bali but with one-sixth of the population of Bali. Many other islands in Indonesia consists of high volcanoes but Sumba has not any. The island is quiet hilly has a mountainous surface which makes Sumba more adventurous and unique.
The island is divided into four districts: East, West, South and Centre. But to make it easy to find our lovely highlights, we divided into West Sumba and East Sumba. East-West Sumba is more dry which causes that you can see savanna in this part. If you want to see the beautiful greenery that is surrounding the villages, you have to go to West Sumba.
The island shows you a lot of untouched beaches, traditional villages, endless hills, beautiful greenery and a unique culture. A mix of these will give you the real Sumba experience and is definitely worth it. Sumba is the future.
