Festival Pasola Wanokaka (4D/3N)

Day 1: Arrival Tmc –  Sumba Traditional Boxing (Padjura Event)

Upon arrival at TMC Airport, meet and greet the driver and guide. After that, go to a local restaurant for lunch. Then we go to the hotel to check in and take a rest until the best time to see the Padjura (traditional boxing in Sumba), which will be held from midnight until early the next morning. After Padjura, we return to the hotel.

Day 2: Village In Wanokaka (Pasola Preparation)

At 12 o'clock noon, we will go to the restaurant first for lunch. After that, we will continue our trip to Wanokaka Village to see the Pasola preparation, where the locals prettify their horses, and after that, they practice the horse riding for the Pasola. You can talk with them after or before their practice, and we will follow them to their village in Waigali for the ritual before Pasola. We will stay in Waigaili village to join the ritual. After that, we returned to the hotel to rest up for the Nyale and Pasola festivals the next day.

Day 3: Nyale – Pasola Festival – Back to hotel – Free at leisure

Around 2:00 am, we will go to Wanokaka Beach and wait for the Ratos and the people to start the Adat Nyale, or you can go earlier to the village where the Rato held the ceremony at their house to ask for safety and smoothness during the event. The Adat Nyale is the culmination of Pasola Wanokaka-starting activities. The Adat Nyale is one of the ceremonies of gratitude for the grace obtained, which is marked by the arrival of the harvest season and abundant sea worms on the beach. The ratos will go to the shore of the beach to start the ritual to find the nyale (sea worms), after that, the locals and the visitors can also join. Next, we move to the field to watch the Pasola Festival. The pasola festival starts in the morning and ends at noon. After watching the Pasola, we will go to the local restaurant to have lunch. For the breakfast, we will provide the breads and fruits to enjoy during the event. After lunch, we return to the hotel to rest after the long journey.

Day 4: Out Tambolaka (TMC) Airport

Breakfast at the hotel and free time until the transfer time to the airport. End of the trip.
