Full Day Tour: Mandorak Beach – Weekuri Lake – Ratenggaro Village – Pero Sunset

We will begin our journey at Mandorak Beach. The beach will provide a great and peaceful stay with nice spots. The big opening between two rock ridges will let the clear blue water pass through the beach and also let you look far into the ocean. When you are there, you can also take the higher ground, which will give you a view of the coastline and the rocky cliffs. After Mandorak Beach, we will bring you to Weekuri Lake. This saltwater lake is located southwest of Sumba. You can go diving to experience the blue and clear water of Weekuri as well as to cool off. Ratenggaro Village will be up next. Here we will see the traditional high-roofed houses (actually the highest rooftops in all of Sumba), made all by hand and traditionally. This village is the only one of a few traditional villages left in the area, and while the village is just a compound of some houses, each house can accommodate up to 50 family members. During the harvesting season, however, most of the villagers will stay in their fields to work and only leave the elders and children in the village. This village is beautiful because it is built in front of the beach. After visiting the village, we will go to Pero Beach to enjoy the sunset.
